Abstract

Workflow management systems (WfMS) are essential instruments that boost output and effectiveness through the automation and simplification of corporate procedures throughout different industries. Choosing the best WfMS for a firm is essential as the demand for operational optimization grows. In order to help decision-makers comprehend the benefits, drawbacks, and suitability of various workflow management systems in a range of organizational situations, this research study provides a thorough comparative analysis of those systems. A variety of WfMS are evaluated in the study, including open-source platforms, cloud-based solutions, and conventional on-premise systems. User experience, customization, automation, security, scalability, degree of usage, industry/domain applicability, and organization size are all included in the evaluation criteria. A thorough assessment of the literature, case studies, and interviews with professionals in the field form the basis of the analysis. The results offer insightful information about the comparison performance of several workflow management systems, describing the unique benefits and drawbacks of each.
