Abstract

Chat application is a program that utilizes internet to communicate directly among other internet users who are online or who are using the internet. It allow users to communicate over great distance. Therefore, chat application needs to be real-time and platform-independent to be used by many users.With the proliferation of messaging apps, the use of WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, and Signal has become ubiquitous. These apps allow users to communicate easily and quickly, making them ideal for personal and business communication. In this study, we aim to compare the methodology of analysing WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, and Signal while keeping record of technologies in mind. The research paper is based on a systematic review of the literature, including research articles, conference proceedings, and other relevant sources. We have outlined the methodology of analysing each app and compared them based on their features, security, and usability.
